When you love what you do, it is quite a joy to find out that someone else loves your work as well.

Last night, while attending a focus group meeting unrelated to web design, someone casually remarked to a client of mine that they had visited his website and loved it. She went on and on, informing everyone present, about how awesome and amazing the site looked… and about how easy it was to navigate all of its content.

I smiled.

My client listened intently to the praise by this woman, and then turning and pointing to me said, “She created it.”

“You did? — Amazing! What an awesome job. So beautiful!”

I went home and pulled up the website to refresh my memory of its contents. Viewing it with a fresh pair of eyes, I was happy to know that my goal of placing aesthetics first was accomplished…and appreciated.
