Why Website Aesthetics Matter

Why do aesthetics matter for a website? Hmmm. Interesting question, no?

Aesthetics have to do with beauty, artistic taste, and the law of appeal and attraction. When we think of “aesthetics,” we think of enhancing something ornamentally, artistically, and making it pleasing, decorative, and tasteful.

Those are pretty important qualities for a website to have.  Potential clients, who are looking for a specific product or service, will land on a site and quickly make the decision to explore that site further. That decision, according to statistics, takes place in 5 seconds or less. Wow! Not a lot of time.

Having an aesthetically pleasing site — makes a huge difference — especially for clients who are quickly taking in your website visually, rather than by “reading” what it contains. Sixty to sixty-five percent of our population tend to do this. So, a website needs to immediately capture attention, and make a favorable first impression. It’s got to visually say, “I’m easy to navigate. Check me out.” That’s where I come in! I AM THE AESTHETIC 美 WEB DESIGNER.
